La Granda (Gozón), 25 de enero de 2026 (17:00h) – Como empresa colaboradora desde hace años con los ferrocarriles españoles, recibimos con profundo pesar la noticia del trágico accidente ocurrido el 18 de enero en Adamuz y somos conscientes del dolor y consternación que ha provocado a numerosas personas. Queremos expresar nuestras sinceras condolencias a las familias que han perdido a alguno de sus seres queridos y a las personas que resultaron heridas en el accidente.
Como fabricante del carril, ArcelorMittal se mantiene naturalmente en contacto con las autoridades españolas, a las que hemos transmitido nuestra disposición para colaborar de manera plena y transparente con la investigación independiente. Todo el acero suministrado para vías ferroviarias se somete a rigurosas pruebas de calidad; no obstante, somos conscientes de que, ante un accidente de esta envergadura, se deben examinar todas y cada una de las posibles causas. Por ello, colaboraremos con la investigación en todos los aspectos que resulten precisos.
Comprendemos el deseo de que se obtengan respuestas inmediatas. En este momento, dadas las numerosas causas posibles de un accidente de esta naturaleza, es fundamental que se permita que la investigación independiente se lleve a cabo al margen de especulaciones, las cuales no ayudarían a las personas afectadas ni a la integridad del proceso.
Statement concerning the railway accident happened on February 18th in Adamuz
As a long-term partner in Spanish rail, we were deeply saddened by the recent tragic accident near Adamuz, and recognise the pain and shock this has caused for many people. Our sympathies are with the families who lost loved ones, and with those who were injured.
As the manufacturer of the rail, ArcelorMittal is naturally in communication with the Spanish authorities and has assured them we will engage fully and transparently with the independent investigation. All the steel provided to the railways undergoes strict quality testing, but we recognize that all and any potential causes of such an accident must be examined. We will therefore support the investigation in every way required.
We understand the desire for immediate answers. At this stage, given the numerous potential causes of such an accident, it is essential that the independent investigation is allowed to proceed without speculation, which would not help those affected or the integrity of the process.
